Magabook Ministry is a Literature Evangelism Ministry using soft cover books (magabooks), which are colorful, and beautifully designed in a magazine format. This ministry is both sponsored and run by the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and provides opportunities for young people to be involved in ministry while working their way through school.
Since this ministry has launched in 1987, hundreds of young people have joined it to distribute millions of pieces of truth-filled literature, and earn needed funds for their Christian education.

A Divine Plan for Young People
"The Lord has instituted a plan whereby many of the students in our schools can learn practical lessons needful to success in afterlife. He has given us the privilege of handling precious books that have been dedicated to the advancement of our educational and sanitarium work. In the very handling of these books, the youth will meet with many experiences that will teach them how to cope with problems that await them in the regions beyond. During their school life, as they handle these books, many learn how to approach people courteously, and how to exercise tact in conversing with them on different points of present truth." R & H, June 4, 1908
" With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world!" Education, p. 271 .
"The very best education young men and women can obtain is by entering the canvassing field. They will learn how to pray as they work. They will be educated in patience, kindness, affability, and helpfulness. They will practice true Christian courtesy." Colporteur Ministry, p. 33.
"The Lord calls upon our youth to labor as canvassers and evangelists, to do house-to-house work in places that have not yet heard the truth." Colporteur Ministry, p. 19.
"Educate, educate, educate young men and women to give themselves to the ministry of the word. Educate them to become canvassers, to sell those books which the Lord by His Holy Spirit has stirred minds to write. Colporteur Ministry, p. 19.
"Do not allow anything to keep you from the work of soul saving. The canvassing work is a most successful way of saving souls. Will you not try it?" Colporteur Ministry, p. 19
Quotations for Inspiration
Holy Spirit Gives Words .--Hearts cannot fail to be touched by the story of the atonement. As you learn the meekness and lowliness of Christ, you will know what you should say to the people; for the Holy Spirit will tell you what words to speak. Those who realize the necessity of keeping the heart under the control of the Holy Spirit will be enabled to sow seed that will spring up unto eternal life. This is the work of the evangelistic canvasser.-- Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 325. (1900)
He Impresses Hearts .--The Lord Jesus standing by the side of the canvasser, walking with them, is the chief worker. If we recognize Christ as the One who is with us to prepare the way, the Holy Spirit by our side will make impressions in just the lines needed.-- Manual for Canvassers, p. 40. (1902)
The Secret of Success .--Joshua had received the promise that God would surely overthrow these enemies of Israel , yet he put forth as earnest effort as though success depended upon the armies of Israel alone. He did all that human energy could do, and then he cried in faith for divine aid. The secret of success is the union of divine power with human effort. Those who achieve the greatest results are those who rely most implicitly upon the Almighty Arm.-- Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 509. (1890)
Power in Importunate Prayer .--Jacob prevailed because he was persevering and determined. His experience testifies to the power of importunate prayer. It is now that we are to learn this lesson of prevailing prayer, of unyielding faith. The greatest victories to the church of Christ or to the individual Christian, are not those that are gained by talent or education, by wealth, or the favor of men. They are those victories that are gained in the audience chamber with God, when earnest, agonizing faith lays hold upon the mighty arm of power. Those who are unwilling to forsake every sin and to seek earnestly for God's blessing, will not obtain it. But all who will lay hold of God's promises as did Jacob, and be as earnest and persevering as he was, will succeed as he succeeded.--Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 203. (1890)
