The Literature Ministries/Publishing Department exists to proclaim the gospel of hope to the whole world in this generation with publications and other forms of media given through personal contacts.
Our department oversees the work of Literature Evangelism in all of its forms for the Michigan Conference. This includes the work of our Literature Evangelists throughout the state, summer student magabook Literature Evangelism programs (ExCEL), school Literature Evangelism programs (CYFI), and free literature distribution programs (GLOW).
“We are fast approaching the end. The printing and circulation of the books and papers that contain the truth for this time are to be our work.” Testimonies vol. 8, p. 89
ADULT LITERATURE EVANGELISM
Full-time or Career Literature Evangelists are those who have been trained, and accepted God’s calling to make this work their specialty. They have acquired the skills to sell the larger hardcover subscription books, and they have chosen to pursue this work as a full-time occupation. Opportunities are also available for part-time Literature Evangelists who devote several hours every week to sharing magabooks or hardcover subscription books.
STUDENT LITERATURE EVANGELISM
Each summer, young people from Michigan and many other parts of the United States dedicate their summers to share Christ door-to-door through truth-filled magabook literature in the state of Michigan. This program offers them the opportunity to minister to people while earning a scholarship to help cover their school expenses. The program is open to committed young people 16 years old and older.
GLOW LITERATURE EVANGELISM
Giving Light to Our World (GLOW) is a program that makes it easy for every church member to give the final warning through free literature. Our signature sharing tool, GLOW tracts, are small enough to carry in your purse or wallet, updated regularly to deal with current issues, and are inexpensive enough to fit into any church budget.
