The Ministerial Department: We provide the local congregation with pastoral resources and strives to minister to the individual pastors as a "pastor to the pastors". We hope to foster an atmosphere in which pastors may be used of God as dynamic channels for the Holy Spirit and to offer opportunities for them to improve their skills and gifts through mentoring, coaching, partnership, prayer, seminars, and continuing education.
The Pastor: Has been appointed to be the spiritual leader of the local congregation by the Conference Executive Committee. The pastor will coordinate all evangelism activities as the local church works to present the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ to their community. Through sermons, visitation, counseling, and earnest prayers on behalf of those in need, the pastor leads the way by inspiring the members to be a truly caring, soul-winning body of people.
Since the pastor’s highest work is to develop the local church into a training center for Christian service (Ephesians 4:11-16), it is important that the pastor find ways to involve each member in some phase of church activity so that as many as possible can participate in the joy of service in the body of Christ.
