On Sunday, August 3, Project Restoration was mobilized. Brothers and sisters in Christ gathered at the Alma SDA Church and gymnasium, working shoulder to shoulder in preparation for the upcoming AMEN Free Health and Dental Clinic on August 24. Soon, 70 volunteers—doctors, nurses, dentists, registrars, and counselors—will unite to meet the needs of the Alma community, offering care and hope in the name of Jesus.
But first, the physical space needed care. So the family of God came together.
From across Michigan and even beyond, people gave of their time and talents—replacing ceiling tiles, restoring flooring and bathroom fixtures, painting walls, landscaping the grounds—transforming the church into a place of beauty, healing, and welcome. Some volunteers drove four hours or more. Families came. Retirees came. Singles, tradespeople, teens. Everyone had something to offer, and together they offered it all to the Lord.
Project Restoration teams have already served in Sault Ste. Marie, Mesick, Sparta, St. John’s, and Alma—pouring out love, labor, and financial support for the purpose of glorifying God and serving others. And everywhere they go, something incredible happens.
Neighbors take notice. Hearts are stirred. Lives are touched.
People want to know more about this church family that serves so selflessly. Why? Because they see Jesus in action. And that is what we are called to be—a light, a witness, a reflection of Christ's love.
This is the power of community. When we work together for God’s glory, we can do more than we ever imagined. We lift each other up. We reach people in ways we couldn’t do alone.
God needs you. He needs me.
Let’s live out true community. Let’s share what we have for His glory. Because together…we make a difference.
