Last year, while attending Camp Meeting, a family stumbled upon the campus of Great Lakes Adventist Academy, initially unaware it was a school. Curiosity led them to an exhibit where they learned about the academy and were encouraged to consider enrolling their two boys, the teenagers. Initially hesitant and overwhelmed by the school’s rules, the parents sought support from their church community, which rallied around them. Their sons, who had excelled in public school, quickly adapted to the more challenging academic environment and experienced significant spiritual growth through daily worship and biblical discussions. The boys found a sense of belonging and deeper connections with God, prompting the family to embrace the academy’s mission wholeheartedly. Now, the parents are eager for their younger sons to follow in their siblings' footsteps, recognizing the transformative education and faith-based community that GLAA offers.
